Movie-Inspired Pool Parties

Why not transform your pool area into a cinematic paradise? Movie-inspired pool parties are a hit with teens and can be as simple or elaborate as you like.

Consider some of these popular movie themes:

Under the Sea with "The Little Mermaid"

Bring the magic of Ariel's underwater world to life with a "Little Mermaid" themed pool party. Decorate with seashells, starfish, and mermaid tails, and play the movie's soundtrack to set the mood. Don't forget to serve up some "Under the Sea" inspired treats like blue Jell-O and fish-shaped sandwiches!

For an extra special touch, hire a local mermaid performer or rent a mermaid tail for one of the teens to wear in the pool. This will surely be a hit with the kids and create some unforgettable photos!

Pirate's Cove with "Pirates of the Caribbean"

Arr matey! Transform your pool area into a pirate's cove with a "Pirates of the Caribbean" themed pool party. Decorate with treasure chests, skeletons, and inflatable parrots, and encourage the teens to dress up in their best pirate attire.

Set up a treasure hunt with clues hidden around the pool area, leading the kids to a buried treasure filled with candy and small prizes. You can also play games like "Walk the Plank" or "Pin the Tail on the Mermaid" for some pirate-themed fun.

Decade-Themed Pool Parties

Take a trip back in time with a decade-themed pool party. This is a great way to introduce teens to different eras and have a blast while doing it.

Here are some popular decade themes to consider:

Groovy '70s

Get ready to boogie down with a '70s themed pool party. Decorate with lava lamps, disco balls, and neon colors, and play classic disco tunes to set the mood. Encourage the teens to dress up in their best '70s-inspired outfits, complete with bell-bottoms, platform shoes, and afros.

Set up a DIY tie-dye station where the kids can create their own groovy t-shirts or bandanas. You can also play games like "Limbo" or "Twister" for some classic '70s fun.

Rad '80s

Crank up the nostalgia with an '80s themed pool party. Decorate with neon colors, Rubik's cubes, and cassette tapes, and play classic '80s hits to get the party started. Encourage the teens to dress up in their best '80s-inspired outfits, complete with leg warmers, Members Only jackets, and big hair.

Set up a '80s trivia game or a "Name That Tune" contest with '80s music clips. You can also create a DIY '80s photo booth with props like sunglasses, boomboxes, and Rubik's cubes for some fun and memorable photos.
