Edelgard von Hresvelg, a prominent character from the video game "Fire Emblem: Three Houses," has sparked curiosity among fans about her physical attributes. One of the most frequently asked questions is, "How tall is Edelgard?" Let's delve into this topic, exploring various sources and interpretations to provide a comprehensive answer.

Before we dive into the details, it's essential to note that Edelgard's height, like other characters in the Fire Emblem series, is not explicitly stated in the game. The developers, Intelligent Systems, often leave such details to the player's imagination. However, we can gather insights from various sources to make an educated guess.

In-Game Appearance and Design

Edelgard's in-game model and design can give us some clues about her height. She is depicted as a tall and imposing figure, standing taller than most of her female counterparts in the game. Her height is further accentuated by her long, flowing hair and the design of her outfits, which often feature high waistlines and long, flowing skirts.

Comparing her height to other characters in the game can also provide some context. Edelgard is noticeably taller than characters like Dorothea, who is listed as 5'7" (170 cm) in official artbooks. This comparison suggests that Edelgard is likely taller than the average height for women in the game's world.

Official Art and Illustrations

Official art and illustrations by the game's creators can offer more insight into Edelgard's height. In various promotional materials and concept art, Edelgard is consistently depicted as one of the tallest characters in the game. For instance, in the game's key art and promotional posters, she is often placed at the center or in the front, towering over other characters.

Furthermore, official illustrations by the game's character designer, Yusuke Kozaki, also support this interpretation. In his art, Edelgard is consistently depicted as one of the tallest characters, often standing head and shoulders above her peers.

Fan Measurements and Estimates

Fans have also taken it upon themselves to estimate Edelgard's height based on in-game models and official art. Using various methods, such as comparing her height to in-game objects or other characters, fans have come up with a range of estimates. The most common estimates place Edelgard's height somewhere between 5'10" (178 cm) and 6'2" (188 cm).

It's important to note that these estimates are not official and should be taken with a grain of salt. However, they do reflect the general consensus among fans that Edelgard is one of the tallest characters in the game.

Edelgard's Height in Comparison to Other Characters

Comparing Edelgard's height to other characters in the game can help us better understand her place in the game's world. As mentioned earlier, Edelgard is noticeably taller than characters like Dorothea. She is also taller than other female characters in the game, such as Mercedes and Lysithea.

In comparison to male characters, Edelgard is roughly the same height as Byleth, the game's protagonist, who is listed as 6'0" (183 cm) in official artbooks. This comparison further supports the fan estimates that place Edelgard's height in the range of 5'10" to 6'2".
