Understanding Alternative Universes in Fanfiction

Alternative Universes, or AUs, are a staple in fanfiction, offering authors and readers alike the freedom to explore new possibilities and push the boundaries of their favorite fandoms. They allow fans to reimagine characters, relationships, and entire worlds in ways that deviate from the original source material.
